First night...worked like a charm! Other soothers only go for 15-20 mins. This has a 45 min setting for that stubborn baby :) He didn't fuss at all, just laid there until he fell asleep. The Victoria Falls setting helped my baby get to sleep every night. I've bought it for many new parents. My only complaint was the most recent purchase was damaged in shipping. In fact, it looks like it had been opened, used, returned, and then sent to me. I'm not real happy about that and I won't be buying this gift through Amazon again. The product itself is great but I don't like being in the position where I wonder if I received a used gift. I have one complaint though, the longest timer is 45 minutes and there is no constant on setting. As soon as it shuts off, my baby wakes up.
